  • Change: Allows changing your active database

Clear: Clears all entries in the current database except for the 1st record.

New: Copies the current music database to a new database.

    • Reg Code: This is you registration Code. You will need this when purchasing or upgrading the system.

  • Lock Key: we will supply you with this number after you have purchased or upgraded the system. You must press the "ENTER" button next to this field to activate the new code.

  • Play7 Mix Out: Sets timing "Mix out seconds" for player 7.

  • Anti-Skip Mode: Use This to correct issues in different operating systems and file types

    • Mode 1: New Set reload will have a 1 sec. delay for each selection. (Win95)

    • Mode 2: New Set reload will have a 2 sec. delay for each selection. (Win95)

    • Mode 3: Sets Players for ASF/WMA format operation (Win98)

    • Mode 4: Sets Players for ASF/WMA format operation and a 1 second advance on mix (Win98)

  • Remote Access: This is the networking flag used for multiple Jukeboxes and remote editing on one system.

  • Auto Start: This allows The Digital DJ Music System™ to run the players on startup.

  • Least Played Counter (Default): The Digital DJ Music System™ logic will count (n) selections before searching for the least played record. See Schedule screen for live operation

  • Live DJ Option: This allows the exclusive Digital DJ Music System™ DJ prompt system to operate. PROFESSIONAL Edition and Higher

  • M Filter: Music Extension Filter, When on, This option will filter for only 1 extension type (WAV, ASF, WMA, MP3 etc…) for each set. DO NOT use this option unless you are experiencing poor sound quality (Scratchy sound etc…) We have found that this occurs when mixing Windows Media (WMA,ASF,ASX) files with other standard file types. As Always, We suggest using one media type if possible when a quality sound/video output is desired.

On Now?: Informs you if this category is currently active.

  Request Totals (Section):

This Week, This Month, All Time: Displays the total requests that this selection has had.

  Max Plays Status (Section):

  •   Maximum Logic: Digital DJ™ has daily, weekly and monthly maximum filters for each selection. This allows you to tell the system the maximum amount of times you wish the selection to play for the given time period. Digital DJ™ waits until the Day, week, or month shown on this screen before it allows the selection to be played again. Once the maximum is reached; it automatically re-calculates a new reset time and starts the total counters to 0. Cool Huh?

Next Daily Max Reset: Displays the time when the daily play maximum limit counter will be reset. "See Base Schedule tab for more information"

Next Weekly Max Reset: Displays the time when the Weekly play maximum limit counter will be reset. "See Base Schedule tab for more information"

Count Column: Displays The current amount of plays for each day, week and month max preset.

  Chart Positions (Section):

  •   First, A word about Chart Automation: The Digital DJ Music System™ recalculates your four charts like this:

General: The system automatically recalculates all charts every day at 12:30am assuming the Digital DJ Music System™ is running at the time.

Requests Chart: The system automatically recalculates the top 75 requests (Driven by the monthly total). This in turn automatically activates the 2x play option. The Deluxe Home edition and higher will then create an automatic playlist called "TopRequest". This will appear on the program manager under this title. You can then adjust the play schedule.

Top 40, Top Country, and Top Dance Charts: The system automatically recalculates the top 75 requests (Driven by the monthly total). This in turn automatically activates the 2x play option. The Deluxe Home edition and higher will then create an automatic playlists called "TopDance, TopCountry, And Top40". These will appear on the program manager with the associated titles. You can then adjust the play schedule.

Note: The "2X Play" logic turns on automatically if a song is listed on one or more of these charts. 2X Play allows Digital DJ to play this selection twice as much. Example: If you have programmed the song to play a max of Day=1, Week=5, Month=20 then, 2X Play will allow plays up to twice those amounts.

Top 40 / Country / Dance: Allows you to enter the current chart position for the selected song.

The Top40 / Country / Dance headings do not have to represent the actual type of chart indicated. You can use each chart for your own type of music.

Positions in the charts are what you make them. See "Special File Setup" below.

Top Request: Digital DJ automatically re-calculates all of your requests entered on the Jukebox/Player on a daily basis. The top 75 will appear automatically in this field. You may edit this field but, it is not suggested because it will be erased on a daily basis.

  •  How Does the Digital DJ Music System™ do that? I'm glad you asked. Here's the breakdown:

Use the weekly request total (Shown on this tab).

Special File Setup (Section): (Program Director Charts Tab)

Timed Promo: Allows you to set a selection for a specific time to be played.

  •

    •  See Valid Start and End Times on Base Schedule Tab

Timed Promos DO NOT appear on the Jukebox.

Use this for Commercials, Time of day, Promo's, etc...

Snipit: Scheduling works just like a normal file except:

  •  Snipits will not appear on the Jukebox unless the "S On" button is pressed on the jukebox face.

The Digital DJ Music System™ internal mixing and logic handles snipits differently.

Top 40 / Top Request / Top Country / Top Dance Buttons: These buttons are used when you want to associate a lead in selection with a song. The related field will light green.

  •  A "lead in selection" example: You have a file that says "Number 1 song" Select the "Top 40" special file button. Change the top40 "Charts" field to 1.

Now... The next time the actual #1 Top 40 song (That you selected before) is played, this file will be the intro snipit.

Clear All Buttons: Clears the charts so that you can find and reset the actual chart positions for "Top40", "Dance", and, "Country" charts. This does not clear the special "INTRO Snipit" files.

 Program Director Base Schedule Tab

Valid (Day Of Week Checkboxes): Check Monday through Sunday check boxes to enable the selection for that day.

 Schedule Time Limiter Box:

  •   Min Time (Drop Down Box): Select the minimum amount of time between plays. Example: If the time is set to "2:00", Digital DJ™ will only play the selection a maximum of once every 2 hours. Note: There is not a MINIMUM setting. The Digital DJ Music System™ has to select the song first.

Valid Start and End Times: The Digital DJ Music System™ allows for 2 windows of time during the day to enable a selection to be played.

Clone Settings Button: Pressing this will copy vital information from this selection so that you can paste it to another selection. The cloned file settings are used when adding a new file also.

    •   Items cloned: All Categories, Valid start and end times, Valid Days of week, Special file status. Daily, weekly and monthly max settings.

Paste Clone Settings Button: This button appears after you have selected a clone record. (See Above)

Max Plays Status Box : Day / Week / Month Max Fields: Allows you to set the maximum times the selection will be played within that time period.

  •   Note: This is a MAXIMUM setting only. For example, if you have the daily max set to 4, it could take the system 5 days to play this selection that many times. Digital DJ will continue to count until it reaches the maximum allowed preset (or 2 times that amount if "2X play is active") before it checks to see if the max reset date has passed. If passed, Digital DJ resets the counter. Get it?

Max Presets Buttons (Deluxe Home edition): These are quick presets that automatically enter the daily, weekly and monthly max preset amounts for you.

The ideal situation is where you set the mix out seconds just as the volume fades. This allows the Next song/snipit/commercial/promo to mix in with this selection.

  •   Set Mix Out: Start the selection using the preview player where you desire. Press the "Set Mix Out" button just as the volume fades.

Test button: Press this to test your selected "Mix Out" for this song. The player will automatically begin at the "Mix out Position" minus a few seconds and run to the end.
