Travel Journal - Day 4

Hello Everyone, This is Jennifer (Kristen's Sister) with an update! 

 

Kristen had a very busy day and was unable to post today. Pictures will hopefully be up tomorrow.

She finally met Abby this evening! She is beautiful! Abby did not cry as Kristen held her for the first time. She ate a bowl of congee at dinner and fed her a bottle with rice cereal at bedtime.

Abby was crying at one point. Kristen was trying to figure out how to comfort her. Guilan the guide came in with important information. Abby likes to suck on a rag! In went the washcloth and the crying stopped. When I spoke to Kristen, Abby was sleeping and the washcloth was still hanging out of her mouth! I hope to see a picture of that! At one point during our conversation, I got to hear a little cry. Abby sounds like an absolute angel. (Not just saying that because I'm her Aunt) :)

Unfortunately, Abby and some of the other babies have a rash. It seems to be very itchy and uncomfortable. Kristen will take Abby to the Doctor in the morning.

Congratulations to Kristen, Scott and Big Brother Evan!!! We cannot wait to welcome Abby into the family. We love you!
