Homestudy visit at our home - We officially requested a female up to age three (36 months) and were approved

to bring a child in the US up to age 3 1/2 (42 months). At the time of referral, if the referral of our child is

actually older than this, we will then have an addendum to our homestudy approving us for an older child.

4/2/07

Our HS is almost complete. We are still waiting on medicals. Our blood work was lost and today they found it.

We are still waiting on the forms to actually be filled out and also for our DCF clearances. It will be about

another two to three weeks before the first part of our paperwork is complete (the Homestudy). Then we work towards finishing the second part of our paperwork (the Dossier).

4/11/07 Fist appointment with the Psychologist for our evaluation.
The Dr's office estimated this process for testing and report will take 2 weeks, maybe 3 weeks.

5/25/07 The I600A application office still does not have our I600A application.
June 07

In the month of June, our family had an awakening call. We left the El Salvador program. On May 28th we began

pursuing a domestic adoption and by the end of June, that adoption fell through and we lost that precious child.

We were heart broken but encouraged that the Lord used it for a purpose. With our world a bit rocked, we

sat back and prayed heavily about where the Lord was sending us, and were we being obedient or were we

running scared. Did we trust HIM enough to provide? We are a family of meager means and we are frugal

so we limited our adoption options based on what we knew we could budget for and we allowed no room

for the Lord to provide otherwise. After months (since March) of praying about this, we finally let it all just rest

in the palm of His hands and by July he delivered us a baby girl.
