"I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared."

- Exodus 23:20

Travel Day 4

Sunday, November 7, 2004 - Church & The Great Wall

The International Church was really neat. I enjoyed that experience and the Great Wall was, well, GREAT! That was the best part of the trip for me up 'til then. We spent our time on the Great Wall with our friends, Bill, Debbie and Tiff. We must have laughed the entire time. We took the "easy" side...hmmm...who labeled it that?! If you've walked the streets and hills of San Fran, you'll know what I mean, you have lean forward to go up and lean backwards to go down. Dale helped a gentleman from India and showed him how to work his video camera, the man returned the favor with some exotic seed, of which he cracked for us and we had to eat on the spot. Tasted like black licorice but was that why we were hallucinating later? Just kidding. We were so worn out and starting to get sick, that we skipped the Beijing Duck Dinner. We sat on the floor of our friends hotel room having McDonald's. And, it was so good! The chocolate shake made me feel instantly better.
